Tena Simpson is a self taught folk artist with a vivid, childlike imagination creating art to play and have fun. Her style has graphic elements and cartoon like details. Music, especially the blues, vintage cars, and humorous nostalgia inspires her. A true Bohemian, Tena paints on drop cloths and jig saws plywood. She uses scraps and found objects to create brightly painted 2D and 3D art. She admires the work of Howard Finster.
