James Forman is a very experienced Illustrator and Graphic Designer. He is originally from New York City and now lives in Rogers, Arkansas. James graduated from the prestigious School of Visual Arts / NYC in 1982 and became a highly sought-after illustrator in the 1980’s and 90’s. Throughout his long career, James created wonderful images for all types of clients including Fleer/Skybox Int’l, Mitchell & Ness, Forever 21, BCBG Max Azria Group, Nickelodeon, Avon, Walmart, Lord & Taylor, Dickies, Gap, GapKids, Banana Republic, Rockport Shoes, Levi-Strauss, Alexander Julian, Federated Department Stores, Wynn Resorts, Port Authority of NY / NJ, Korey Kay & Partners, Stuart Weitzman Shoes, Jacoby & Meyers, Fox Network, Big Dogs Sportswear, The Walking Company, Amp’d Apparel Co., CBS Radio, Steve Walden Surfboards, Tommy Boy Records, and many more.
In 1996 Fleer/Skybox commissioned James to illustrate a retro-style 10-card set of future Hall of Famers such as Ken Griffey Jr, Ozzie Smith, Rickey Henderson, Barry Bonds, Tony Gwynn, and others. Following the success of this chase card set, James was commissioned by other clients to paint portraits of sport stars such as Mark McGwire, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, and entertainers such as Frank Sinatra and Jerry Garcia.
James still creates art as well as curates and sells art at The Art Collective Gallery in Rogers, Arkansas,
