She was worked with an extensive number of galleries and had her very first solo Museum exhibition last year, at Fort Smith Regional Art Museum. On July 7 at the Art Collective Gallery, Shabana will be introducing some new work that includes a collection of ‘Gulab’ this is the Urdu / Hindi word for roses. Shabana’s new paintings include the red rose alongside traditional fabrics.

Dupattas & Roses will include her traditional portraits in oils, of South Asian women in traditional dupattas (Scarf) and jewelry. Her mixed media work includes, abstract hearts with fabrics, these were created during her residency at The Medium, in Springdale earlier this year. Expect to see original work that includes portraits, roses still life oil paintings, mixed media abstract work, and a selection of prints will also be available for purchase.
