Beth Owen grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas. Both her mother and maternal grandfather were visual artists. Beth was raised in a home where arts and the humanities were central. When she was young she was involved in many art forms; theater, music, and ballet in addition to visual art. Now, as a professional abstract visual artist, she employs both oil and acrylic to create various expressive textured pieces influenced by nature, memories, past dance experiences, and the nuances of life we humans all experience. She has had two solo shows as an artist with Art Ventures Gallery, two group shows, and has taught art workshops. Recently, Beth was selected as one of twenty Arkansas artists selected by the Hot Springs Area Cultural Arts Alliance to have her work displayed in the Hot Springs National Park. It will be on display through April 2025. Beth currently lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She received a BA in Art History from the University of Arkansas in 2015.
